Freehold, NJ — On Friday (Feb. 9) conditioner Vincent Fusco Jr. collected his 1,000th career training triumph when Nancy Malinda, steered by Brett Miller and owned by FBP Stable and Jordan Derue, captured the sixth race on the Freehold Raceway card.
A resident of Manalapan, N.J., Fusco’s roots run deep in harness racing. In fact, his uncle, Vincent Ginsburg, and he annexed the leading driver and trainer titles in 2015 at this very same facility.
Banking more than $9.3 million from the horses in his care, Fusco is a veritable fixture on the Garden State circuit as well as Yonkers Raceway and Meadowlands. He commenced his career in 1991.
