Voyager, Warrawee Total are Wednesday Philly feature winners

Chester, PA – A pair of $14,000 featured paces book-ended the Wednesday (Sept 4) afternoon card at Harrah’s Philadelphia.

In the first contest, driver David Miller and Voyager were blind-switched by a brushing, So Much Bettor on the far turn, but Miller found a sliver of room with the sophomore gelding of Captaintreacherous-Shebestingin and got through to the inside of that rival to take a nose decision in 1:52.3.

Joe Holloway trains the four-time winner for Brittany Farms LLC and Val D’Or Farms, and the triumph was the first of five on the day for Miller.

The second headliner had another driving Miller, Marcus, guide the American Ideal gelding Warrawee Total into an early pocket seat behind favored Actor Hanover, then came out and on in the lane to beat out that foe by two lengths in a lifetime best 1:52.4. Eddie Sager conditions the winner for The Right Move Racing LLC.

A $12,500 pace for experienced pacers saw the veteran K Ryan Bluechip go right down the road for driver David Miller, posting fractions of :26.3, :55.1, and 1:22.3 en route to stopping the timer in 1:50. The Art Major gelding, now a career winner of $470,585, is trained by Virgil Morgan Jr. for owners Carl Howard and Brian Witt.

The Wednesday card was the first in a week which will climax in Sunday’s $1.3 million Pennsylvania Sire Stakes Championship Day for the best of the Keystone State-sired two-year-olds.
