World champion trotter caps busy week at onGait.com

Boca Raton, FL – S I P, the fastest 3-year-old trotter ever on a half-mile track, led all auctions at onGait.com this week when he was purchased out of the 12-horse Ron Burke Stable consignment for $220,000 by Johan Arneng of Sweden.

The son of the late Bar Hopping won the Old Oaken Bucket on Jug Day in 1:51.2 by 10 lengths to set the new standard.

Among the others selling for the Burke Brigade were, Continualou p,2,1:50.2f, a 4-year-old Sweet Lou mare bringing a winning bid of $125,000 from Matthew Stolte of New Jersey; Terminator p,3,1:50.4f, a son of Downbytheseaside, went to Wallace Townsend of Delaware for $91,000, Twenty p,3,1:52h, a Well Said sophomore filly, sold for $80,000 to Frank Poerio of Pennsylvania, and the Uncle Peter filly I’ll Annie Up 3,1:57.3f selling for $76,000 to Ontario breeder Tammy McNiven.

Among the horses presently in the ring are the Walner colt Saverio Hanover 3,1:53.4f-’22; Lou’s Beach p,3,1:53.3h, a Sweet Lou 3-year-old racing for Linda Toscano; the Walner freshman colt Harko 2,Q1:55.4 from the Nancy Takter barn and the Brian Brown trained Big Fritz p,3,1:52.2h-’22, with six wins in his first seven career starts.
