Clarksville, OH — World Of Rocknroll will stand the 2012 season at Hagemeyer Farm in Ohio for a $3,000 stud fee.
He is a son of Rocknroll Hanover out of Worldly Beauty p,4,1:49.3 ($1.9 million).
This year he stood in Indiana where he bred a large book of mares, but his owners are moving him to Ohio to take advantage of the anticipated opportunities when expanded gaming hits tracks in the Buckeye State.
Mike Gulotta, speaking for the World Of Rocknroll Stable, said, “I’m pleased to have him at Hagemeyer Farm. I’m excited about the resurgence of the breeding program in Ohio and like being in on the ground floor with World Of Rocknroll. I’m happy to be partners with the Hagemeyers.”
Last year World Of Rocknroll won the $500,000 Hoosier Cup in 1:50.3 despite starting from post 12 in the second tier. He worked his way through the field early in the race, then pulled away to win by three lengths.
As a juvenile, World Of Rocknroll demonstrated early speed, winning the first three times he went behind the starting gate. His mark of 1:54.1 came at the Meadowlands in July, but he was timed faster than that on many occasions.
His sire Rocknroll Hanover is off to a remarkable start in the stud with such performers as Rock N Roll Heaven, Put On A Show, Rockin Image, A Rocknroll Dance, and Simply Business, among others, to his credit.
Early speed abounds in the family as his dam Wordly Beauty won 18 of her 22 starts at ages two and three and earned more than $1.5 million in those seasons. She was the champion of her class at ages two and three.
