from the Harness Horse Breeders of New York State
Albany, NY — The Agriculture and New York State Horse Breeding Development Fund and Harness Horse Breeders of New York State are hosting a seminar for anyone considering purchasing a Standardbred yearling.
The seminar will be held at Morrisville College Equine Institute on Saturday (September 24) in conjunction with the fall yearling sale the following day. The seminar will start at 10:30 a.m. and conclude mid-afternoon.
The seminar will provide an introduction to the risks, rewards and costs of harness horse ownership; auction procedures; pedigree and conformation; and how to select a trainer.
Participants will have the opportunity to look over horses in the sale the following day with experienced horsemen.
This seminar is intended to give participants the tools they need to purchase a yearling at a time they desire, not necessarily the following day.
The tuition is $15 per person or $25 per couple and includes the seminar and materials, lunch, Pathway certificate, membership to HHBNYS and follow-up services.
The seminar does require advance registration. For more information or to register for the seminar, please call Harness Horse Breeders at 518.785.5858 or e-mail info@hhbnys.com.
