Yonkers, NY — Yonkers Raceway has announced that its 2017 live season is set to begin Sunday (Jan. 8), pending approval of the New York State Gaming Commission.
As of this writing, first post for the matinee season opener is TBA.

There are also 23 Sunday matinees on the docket, with varying late morning/early afternoon post times which, of course, shall be sent when determined. The season, which includes a mid-season hiatus (no racing May 29 from June 15 inclusive), concludes Sunday (Dec. 17).
Information and nomination forms regarding Yonkers’ multi-million-dollar stakes schedule shall be released shortly. It’s again highlighted by Yonkers International Trot Day, scheduled for Saturday afternoon (Oct, 14).
The 2016 live season ends Sunday (Dec. 18), with a 1:00 p.m. first post, after which the Raceway goes completely dark for all racing wagering until Friday (Dec. 29), when Aqueduct returns from its Christmas down time.
