Yonkers, NY — Yonkers Raceway’s Sunday matinees return this weekend (Oct. 29), with a dozen races and a first post of High Noon.
It’s the first of a half-dozen Sunday matinees between then and the end of the racing season (remaining five post times TBA).
This Sunday’s card offer a dozen races, with races two (post time 12:45 p.m.) through eight (post time 3:45 p.m.) each featuring 10 ‘French-themed’ trotters at the 1-1/4 mile distance.
Sunday also means the return of the ‘New York, New York Double,’ this week including Belmont Park’s third race (post tine 2:01 p.m.) and Yonkers’ fifth race (post time 2:15 p.m.). Program pages for this wager ($1 minimum, 18-1/2 percent takeout) are available at this link.
Note that Sunday is closing day for Belmont, so the remaining 2017 editions of the ‘New York, New York Double’ include Aqueduct as the NYRA track (NYRA remains the host for this wager).
Final Yonkers’ post time Sunday is set for 5:05 p.m.
