Four divisions of Adios Harry series contested

HARRINGTON, Del. – Four $10,000 divisions of the Adios Harry series were contested on Wednesday’s program at Harrington Raceway.

The Adios Harry is an late closing event for 3 and 4-year old pacers, named after Delaware-based pacer Adios Harry, who blossomed in the 1960’s.

Armbro Compass (Brad Hanners) was one of four division winners Wednesday in the Adios Harry series at Harrington Raceway.

Ed and Jeff Wheatley’s Kitty’s Paddy ( 1:58 , Dale Elliott) captured the first division and went off the 8-to-5 favorite, despite being a maiden. The No Laughs colt was being bet on the strength of strong efforts in the Delaware Standardbred Breeders Fund recently.

In the second division, Jeff Bartels’ Ruperts Land made a successful debut for the Travis Bowman stable, being placed first after JD’s Dragon was disqualified due to a pylon violation. “Rupert” closed boldly in the stretch for a 1:56 triumph.

Phil Goldwater and James Faragher III’s Macho Mike earned his third straight win in the third division, with a 1:56.3 victory, which was the same time for fourth division winner, John Celii’s Armbro Compass (Brad Hanners).

David Slyman’s CR Pants on Fire (Jim Morand) won the $18,500 Preferred Trot wire-to-wire in 1:58.2 for trainer Josh Green, who had three wins on the program.

Morand and Hanners each won four races on the program.
