Hightstown, NJ — McWicked, who won last week’s preferred handicap at The Meadowlands, remained the No. 1-ranked horse in this week’s Hambletonian Society/Breeders Crown poll. It is McWicked’s fourth consecutive week in the top spot.
Two other horses in the Top 10 raced last week: No. 7 Dorsoduro Hanover, who finished fourth in the Matron Stakes for 3-year-old male pacers, and No. 8 Six Pack, who won the Matron for 3-year-old male trotters.
There will be two more polls released this year, Nov. 27 and Dec. 4.
The Hambletonian Society/Breeders Crown poll does not determine Horse of the Year. The U.S. Harness Writers Association votes in December on all Dan Patch Award division winners plus Trotter of the Year, Pacer of the Year and Horse of the Year.
