Lebanon, OH — Miami Valley seeks the best Ohio-sired 3-year-olds to showcase in four Scarlet & Gray Invitationals, each for a purse of $50,000, on the weekend of April 23-24.

Sophomore fillies, both trotters and pacers, will be featured on Friday, while the colts of both gaits will go to post on Saturday.

The top four finishers in each of the four $40,000 James K. Hackett Memorial championships a week earlier will get automatic bids, with the remainder of the nine-horse fields filled by the invitation of Race Secretary Gregg Keidel.

“The Scarlet & Gray Invitational fields may not be finalized until the day before the draws,” explained Keidel, “but I’d like to have a list of interested parties long before then.”

There are no nomination or starting fees for the Scarlet & Gray Invitationals.
