Meadowlands Pick-4, Races 8-11, Saturday, Dec. 22, 2018

I had three of four in the late Pick-4 last night. My Best Bet and single won but I missed the 11th race. After scratches, my ticket cost was $9. Meet record, 22 Pick-4s, four winners, 18 losers, minus $236.15

Tonight’s tickets: 50-cent play: 149/278/3578/257 = $54

Analysis:

Race 8: With Harrah’s closed for the year, and Yonkers taking a break for the holidays, the racing is very competitive tonight. In this race, I’m going to use three, the Burke entry (1), (4) All Down The Line, who ships in from Yonkers and drops, and (9) New Talent, who comes off a game effort.

Race 9: (2) Messi N may be sharper in second start off a layoff. My top pick is (7) Speed Again, tough trip in last. (8) Sportsmanship returns from Yonkers, handles two turns well.

Race 10: (5) Magnum Mike may be a good single here but I’m looking for a price so I’m going to use all four of my listed contenders, 3, 5, 7, 8.

Race 11: (2) Century Churchill didn’t have a great trip in last. My top pick, (5) Im Supersonic A, had a tough spot in last at Dover and is my Best Bet tonight, as a potential upsetter. (7) Solo Story drops.
