Thirteen declare for Crawford Farms Meadowlands Pace

East Rutherford, NJ — Thirteen sophomore pacers were declared for the Crawford Farms Meadowlands Pace which, per race conditions, resulted in byes being offered to and accepted by the connections of Downbytheseaside, Classic Pro and Miso Fast as three of the top 2017 money winners.

The remaining 10 horses will race in a $50,000 single elimination race on Saturday (July 8) with seven of those advancing to a complete a field of ten for the $700,000 final on July 15.

Huntsville, despite being the second leading money winner thus far in 2017 and the defending Breeders Crown champion for his division, drew post position one on Saturday when trainer Ray Schnittker chose to race. The elimination race winner will draw for post 1 – 6 for the final.

The $50,000 Meadowlands Pace elimination, sponsored by the Lexington Selected Yearling Sale will go as the eighth race on Saturday night’s card.

All horses must be in the stakes barn by 11 p.m. on Friday (July 7).

Post time on Saturday (July 8) and Saturday (July 15) is 6:30 p.m.
