Magic Tonight, who on Sunday afternoon won the prestigious Elitloppet at Solvalla, is among the 23 horses eligible to the John Cashman Memorial, to be raced on Aug. 8 at The Meadowlands.

Roger Wallman, trainer of Magic Tonight, planned this winter to ship Magic Tonight and the 5-year-old mare D’One to the United States.

The 6-year-old Magic Tonight has also been nominated to the Maple Leaf Trot and could race at The Red Mile and in the International Trot at Yonkers as well.

D’One, who has the world’s fastest pedigree as she is sired by Donato Hanover and out of Giant Diablo (who both hold a record of 1:50.1), is also eligible to the John Cashman Memorial and the Maple Leaf Trot.

She raced Saturday at Solvalla, where she finished third in 1:54.4f on a sloppy track.

She has a mark of 1:54.1f and earnings of $695,000.

Plans are to ship Magic Tonight and D’One to the United States later this month.
