Meadowlands Pick-4, Races 7-10, Saturday, Jan. 3, 2015

I finished up the Championship meet with a profit of $162.75 on my “Whale ticket” and a loss of $70.40 on my standard ticket. So far this meet I hit the Pick-4 for 50 cents and it paid $109.70 on my $18 Whale ticket. Last night I singled a longshot in the ninth on a $20 ticket, which turned out to be a bad move because I had the other three winners.

Standard ticket: 50 cent play: 28/2/245/46 = $6
Whale ticket: 50 cent play: 28/2678/245/46 = $24

Analysis:

Race 7: I’m going to use the two fastest horses here, (2) Warrawee Needy and (8) Wake Up Peter.

Race 8: I think (2) Odds On Equuleus is ready.

Race 9: Good race. I picked (4) Malak Uswaad N but I’m also using (2) Winds Of Change, who is sharp and overdue, and (5) Our Dragon King off the drop.

Race 10: (6) Windsong Gorgeous is one of the best claimers in the country. (4) Storm The Beach looks for his third straight.
