Pandy’s Picks: Dec. 6 M

by Bob Pandolfo

Bob Pandolfo offers his picks for the $50,000 Pick-4 at Meadowlands Racetrack on Dec. 6, part of the U.S. Trotting Association Strategic Wagering Program.

Meadowlands Pick-4, Races 7-10, Saturday, Dec. 6, 2014

I finished up the Championship meet with a profit of $162.75 on my “Whale Ticket” and a loss of $70.40 on my standard ticket. So far this fall meet I hit the Pick 4 for 50 cents and it paid $109.70 on my $18.00 Whale Ticket. Last night I used two singles and I was not close, a loss of $12.00.

Standard ticket: $0.50 cent play: 6/568/7/179 = $4.50
Whale ticket: $0.50 cent play: 1678/568/2345789/179 = $126.00

Analysis:

Race 7: I like Lonewolf Currier here but on my Whale Ticket I’ll use all four of my contenders. Lonewolf Currier should be ready for a top effort in third start off the layoff tonight.

Race 8: Bettor Than You had a tough spot in last and should go well for hot barn tonight. I also used Shooter’s Dream, who is sharp, and American Rage, a shipper with class.

Race 9: Roar is a single on my Standard Ticket, as he drops down and should go well. On the Whale Ticket, I’m using 7 of these.

Race 10: Pretty tough race. Sparky Mark is the obvious favorite dropping off a fine effort but I’m also using Fiveknuckleshuffle, a Balmoral shipper that gets trainer and driver changes, and Dedi’s Dragon, who is the sharp Burke/Gingras play here.
