Meadowlands Pick-4, Races 7-10, Saturday, Feb. 8, 2014

Last night I played a $36 (after scratches) ticket which lost. On my big ticket experiment my $400 ticket also lost, once again missed a longshot, only had three of the winners despite using five, four, five and four horses. I have one hit so far this year for $1,144.50 on the whale ticket. Meet totals: 15 plays, 0 hits, -$536. Whale ticket: five plays, one hit, -$1,111.50.

Standard ticket: $1 play: 45/5/46/5810 = $12
Whale ticket: $1 play: 3456/5/4678/56810 = $64

Analysis:

Race 7: This is a pretty wide open race. I’m trying to get through with my top two choices here, (4) Fitz’s Z Tam and (5) Don’t Fool With Me.

Race 8: (5) Morgan Shark looks tough to beat here at a short price and is a single for me.

Race 9: (4) Shoobee’s Place (three Big M wins) and (6) Panesthetic (nine Big M wins) are proven 7-year-old classy pacers who both handle this track well.

Race 10: (5) Eagle Jolt and (8) Prince Sharka both take key drops and are logical but I also used (10) Rocknroll Jewel from post 10; he also drops but he gets a key driver change as well.
