Meadowlands Pick-4, Races 7-10, Friday, Aug. 2, 2013

Last week’s results: I’ve hit the Pick-4 four times this meet playing almost all small tickets. My $16 ticket returned $96.80. Earlier in the meet my $18 ticket returned $163.60 and I also hit it for $206.60 on a $16 ticket. Last Friday I played a $24 ticket and hit for $117.60. Saturday I played a $12 ticket and had the first three winners but missed the $52 bomb in the 10th race.

$1 play: 19/16/28/24 = $16

Analysis:

Race 7: (1) Curtsy Hanover comes in fresh and she has more speed than most of these. (9) Lady Broadway had no shot in last but has ability.

Race 8: (1) Raven Victory adds lasix and is the one to beat. (6) Bloodstockshalltab will have to do best but Gingras gets on and he excels with trotters.

Race 9: (2) I Need Hotstuff moves into the Burke barn. (8) Dottie Major is my top pick in second career start; she has ability but was in a tough spot for debut first time out.

Race 10: (4) Déjà Vu Too was in tougher in the Oaks eliminations. (2) Silver Credit has a chance in a wide open trot.
