On Friday (Jan. 18), Northfield Park will offer a $7,500 guaranteed pool in the Pick-5. Beginning in race three, the $7,500 guarantee includes a carryover of $1,906.56. Northfield Park’s Pick-5, Pick-4 and Pick 3s offer a reduced takeout rate of just 14 percent.

Analysis:

Race 3: (3) Peeeeyouuuuuuuu has proven to be a solid competitor at this level of competition; looks to be solid again tonight. (5) Arion draws much better tonight; shows winning at this level of competition.

Race 4: (1) TT’s Little Lass has been coming up short in the stretch; may be able to last tonight. (4) Moira’s Bliss drops in class and poses a big threat to win.

Race 5: (1) Bullys Joni draws the inside advantage and that advantage may be key to doing well tonight. (2) Misty Mistique dropped to this level last time out but drew post seven; should have a better shot with this better draw. (3) Scootin Jetta sees Lanny hand the lines to Stahl and looks for some results in this bottom class.

Race 6: (1) Theta Blue Chip made up tons of ground in the stretch last time out; draws the rail and could be closer to the pace. (7) Blind Spot Hanover makes a second local start, Ungashick calls upon Smith and this horse has ample reason to improve.

Race 7: (4) Cherry Rebel drops in class and has a huge shot to do well. (6) Shesgotwhteveritis could strike a victory if she minds her manners.
