Bob Pandolfo offers his picks for the $50,000 Pick-4 at Meadowlands Racetrack on Feb. 17, part of the U.S. Trotting Association Strategic Wagering Program. Meadowlands Pick-4, Races 6-9, Friday, Feb. 17, 2012 I didn’t hit last night and a horse was scratched, cutting the loss to minus $12, which brings the total to minus $319 for the first 18 nights. Tonight’s sequence looks much tougher than last night’s. I’m going to go two deep. $1 play: 46/67/45/23 = $16 Analysis: Race 6: (6) Rub Thing ships in and moves into a high percentage barn with a key driver change to Sears. (4) Stormunn has never won at this track but comes off a sharp try from post seven at Yonkers. Race 7: (7) Four Starz Credit takes the all-important drop out of the Invitational. (6) Foutainbleau Volo had a sharp 3-year-old season but ended the year badly, breaking in two starts, then broke in his first start this year; he qualified well for this. Race 8: (5) Shayna Baby steps up in class but has backclass over the track and shows improving form; she raced well from post nine in last. (4) Trust My Heart drops down. Race 9: (3) Marion Matilda comes off a game effort and gets Gingras, who excels with trotters. (2) King’s Cavalier takes a key drop.
