Northfield Park Pick-4, Races 8-11, Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2012

On Tuesday, January 24, Northfield Park will again offer a $10,000 guaranteed pool in the Pick-4. The Pick-4 has a reduced takeout rate of just 14 percent (the lowest in harness racing) and starts in the eighth race.

Analysis:

Race 8: (1) Bella Deona has the inside advantage and could edge out her competition. (6) Action Full Hall is one of several with a big chance in here. (9) Cam’s Golden Boy is first time Lasix and looking to be forwardly placed early.

Race 9: (2) Modern Eve drops in class and may be the best in here. (4) Sa De Me Lady dropped to this level last week; could do well here if she rebounds from last race’s performance. (6) Tidewater Tiki Tai has as good of a shot as any if the top two do not fire.

Race 10: (1) The Bomb won a cheaper condition in his last race; draws the rail tonight. (2) Presidential Sam seemed to take well to his new barn; keeps going here. (6) Foxy’s Desire attracts Noble tonight; time will tell if he can pick this horse up, too.

Race 11: (1) Rosie L has been racing well but finding ways to lose; could step up at any time. (9) Steuben Stampede looks to have improved since going on Lasix; could get it all tonight.
