Meadowlands Pick-4, Races 6-9, Saturday, July 16, 2011

I finally hit one. Last Saturday night I spent $8.00, using two singles and playing $2 tickets, but as it turned out I could have hit it for $2.00 because I had it cold. On the night I picked 10 winners on top on my USTA Meadowlands picks which appear on the site on the handicapping page. I think it was the most winners I’ve ever picked on top on one card. The Pick-4 paid $333.20. I’m still $116.80 in the red after losing $8.00 in Thursday night’s Pick-4 but it felt good to get it. Great card tonight and the Pick-4 guarantee is $150,000. I’m using two singles and only spending $9.00.

Analysis:

Race 6: I guess you could single (5) Dejarmbro here but I have to use (6) Manofmanymissions, who is capable of a big effort if he can stay flat, and (4) Charlie De Vie has come on strong for Ryder.

Race 7: (2) E Street Plan is my upset pick here but I also used (3) Pet Rock and (5) Time To Roll. These 2-year-old stakes races are tough because horses can improve sharply from one start to the next.

Race 8: My Best Bet tonight is (5) Mr Massimo so I’m using him alone.

Race 9: The Meadowlands Pace Final is a tough race but I’m a (2) Big Jim fan so I’ll single him here even though he’ll offer no value.
