Lucky Duck is assisted in an attempt to free him from the starting gate.
At Eskilstuna, Lucky Duck, an 11-year-old gelding, took a bite out of the starting gate — and could not free himself!
After 165 yards the starter managed to bring the gate to a stand still — with the “biting” Lucky Duck still hooked onto the gate.
Lucky Duck stayed calm and was released and unhurt, but he was scratched from the race.
