Louisville, KY — Larry Remmen is certainly thrilled he’s residing in his shed row, but admits he is only looking after Allthatgltrsisgold until the stallion returns to Indiana.

“I got him just before he qualifed here (at the Meadowlands on Jan. 22),”said the 57-year-old Ridgewood, N.J., resident. “I’m just babysitting the horse for Bobby Brower. He’s in this (Aquarius) series and he’ll go home after that.

“Bobby has horses he is getting ready out there (in Indiana) and it’s tough to pick up and leave, so it worked out that’s it’s easier to send this horse my way,” Remmen continued. “Bobby deserves all the credit because he’s put a lot of work into this horse. Money means a lot, but I think Bobby would rather have the credit.”

Allthatgltrsisgold was a 1:52 winner in the Aquarius Series on Feb. 5.

The 4-year-old son of Cam’s Card Shark-Glitter N Glitz is owned by his breeder, Victory Hill Farm of Lagrange, Ind., and has earned $530,554 from 36 career miles. Allthatgltrsisgold has paced 12 winning miles with seven seconds and five thirds. He established his lifetime mark of 1:49s after he raced on the outside for nearly the entire trip in the $97,000 Pepsi North America Cup Consolation last June at Mohawk Racetrack. He finished second in the $180,000 American-National as a 2-year-old and the $500,000 Hoosier Cup last year.

The stallion also finished third in the $500,000 New Jersey Classic final behind BG’s Folly and All Speed Hanover and fifth in his Little Brown Jug elimination to I’m Gorgeous. He did capture the $250,000 Monument Circle at Indiana Downs when he wasn’t chasing the top competitors in his division and earned $422,945 last year. Allthatgltrsisgold has already banked $32,500 this year with victories in the Aquarius Series and Aquarius Prep at the Meadowlands.

“He ran against all the top 3-year-olds last year and there just aren’t any headlines after you run against Rock N Roll Heaven,” Remmen said. “I think Bobby’s plans are to race him in this series and then take him home to freshen him up and get him ready for some races later in the year.”

The stallion definitely prefers to come from behind, but that could be by design.

“All of this mare’s foals have strong wills and tend to get really racy really fast,” explained Dr. Maria King, who owns Allthatgltrsisgold. “We learned from all the other ones and wanted to be really careful with him, so we started out always racing him from behind so he wouldn’t get hot like his mother did.”

Allthatgltrsisgold is a half brother to Electric’s A Flyin (Electric Yankee, 1:52.2f, $239,239), Glittering Beaches (Jenna’s Beach Boy, 1:50.2, $225,210), and Glitter For Prez (Presidential Ball, 1:52.3h, $190,956).

“This mare has produced really, really well,” King said. “All of her foals have raced and the only one that didn’t showed a ton of talent, but injured both his suspensories during his training. When we started jogging Allthatgltrsisgold, we knew he was talented and just wanted to be careful with him so he could have a long racing career and reach his potential.”

The stallion certainly likes things to go his way off the track.

“He’s full of himself, but he’s a good-mannered horse,” Remmen said. “He’s very nice to be around, but he does nip a little bit; that’s all he does though.”

After Allthatgltrsisgold competes in the Aquarius Series he will return to Indiana and take a little vacation before resuming the rest of his 2011 campaign.

“He has really filled out and gotten stronger and looks a lot more mature than last year,” King said. “He’s staked to a bunch of races for aged horses, like the Dan Patch and the Indiana Pacing Derby here in Indiana and all the Grand Circuit races like the American-National and the Breeders Crown. Hopefully, things will continue to go well and we will stand him as a stallion after his racing career is over.”
