Freehold, NJ — Gota Go Bullville and Dancin Barefoot became New Jersey Sire Stakes Champions with wire-to-wire victories Saturday in $100,000 Premier Division Finals for 2-year-old pacers at Freehold Raceway.

Gota Go Bullville, a homebred son of Matt’s Scooter, paced to a 1:55.1 victory, his second in a $100.000 race for New Jersey-sired freshmen colts in less than a month. The colt had won the $125,700 Lou Babic Memorial Pace on September 12.

It was the sixth win in 13 career starts for Gota Go Bullville, whose earnings rose to $189,432 with the $50,000 winner’s share of the purse. Jason Bartlett drove for trainer Stephen Crevani, who co-owns the colt with his wife Carole. The Crevanis also bred the colt, out of their broodmare Bullville Nancy.

Finishing second was a fast-closing Urgent Action (Artsplace), while JK Kinahurra (Rocknroll Hanover) was third.

In the $100,000 NJSS Premier Division Championship Final for 2-year-old filly pacers, Dancin Barefoot (Rocknroll Hanover) won easily in 1:56.4, as her entry-mate Pears N Amoretto (Western Ideal) finished second. Both fillies were trained by Jimmy Takter. Camsamericangirl (Cam’s Card Shark) was third.

Dancin Barefoot had dominated the filly pacing division, winning two preliminary legs of the series. Her victory in the final boosted her career earnings to $91,981 for owner Louie Camara.
