Main A Dieu Too, by Cambest, is the fastest 2-year-old of 2009 with his 1:57.4 win.

Elaine MacKinnon’s Main A Dieu Too ($4.40, Ross Wolfenden) was victorious in 1:57.4.

Albeit early in the season, it was the fastest win time recorded this year for a 2-year-old in North America.

The Cambest-Great Georgia colt was making his first career start and was sent to the front immediately from post six. He set fractions of :28.4, :59, and 1:28.3 before
holding off a closing kick by As Bad As Thunder, to prevail in a tight photo.

MacKinnon also trained last year’s first 2-year-old winner at Harrington.

Driver Tony Morgan registered five wins on the program to pull within 27 of 13,000 lifetime. Morgan would join an elite group of drivers that includes Herve Filion, Walter Case, Catello Manzi and Dave Palone as the only North American drivers in history to reach the win milestone.
