Cappello continues hot streak at Saratoga

Saratoga Springs, NY — Sunday completed a big week at Saratoga for Dan Cappello, Jr. as the driver that is second in the standings had his best week thus far in 2009.

Sunday was the third time this week that Cappello secured at least three wins on a program during the four day race week as he followed up a Thursday hat trick with a Friday grand slam. All told, Cappello tallied 11 wins for the week.

Chip And Run was a 1:59.1 winner on Sunday for Dan Cappello, Jr.

On Sunday, Cappello secured two of his three wins with Chip Lawyer trained horses as trotters Chip And Run and Inittogether prevailed despite navigating from outside posts.

Chip And Run continued his streak as he hit the board for the seventh straight race since coming to the Spa for the first time in March while Inittogether recorded his first win of the campaign by enduring a first over journey to win the day’s 12th race.

Lawyer and Cappello teamed up with Orphan Victor for a win on Friday night as well.
