Anderson, IN — The C.K.G. Billings Series will make a stop at Hoosier Park Racing and Casino on Friday, May 15. The series, which showcases the talents of amateur drivers, will be contested as a non-wagering race prior to the first official pari-mutuel event. Estimated post time for the Billings is 4:20 p.m.

Heading the field of eight trotters in the $3,000 event is last year’s championship winner Tom Williams. The long-time owner in harness racing will team up once again with DW’s Perky Joe, trained by Jon Anderson. The duo will start from post seven.

Joining Williams in the event is the husband and wife team of Patricia and Robert Miller. Patricia will drive Easy Chase from post three while Robert Miller starts from post eight with Trotting Houdini.

Other contenders in the C.K.G. Billings Amateur event include Mike Mitchell (Likaty, post one), David Ehrenberg II (Zorgwijk Fatal, post two), Sherald Haynes (Spurite Begonia, post four), Larry Farley (Prime Number, post five), and college student Gavin Bixler (Lotsa Help, post six).

Hoosier Park will follow up with a 13-race program beginning at 4:45 p.m.
