Spoiled Beach wins Blossom Series opener

Columbus, OH — Enviro Stables’ Spoiled Beach overcame a first-over trip to win the $22,500 first leg of the Blossom Pacing Series for 3-year-old fillies on Wednesday night (April 1) at The Meadowlands.
Ron Pierce was in the bike for trainer Linda Toscano as the Camluck-Beach Dancer miss edged Terroronthebeach (George Brennan) by a neck in a time of 1:54.1. Wildflower Hanover (Brian Sears) finished third, while pacesetter Twin B Treasure (David Miller) was fourth.
The victory was the third in five 2009 starts for Spoiled Beach, who lifted her season’s earnings to $43,875. The bay mare has won $78,838 lifetime.
The second leg of the Blossom Series will be contested next Wednesday night (April 8).
