Toronto, ON — Trainer Ira Fisher completely dominated Thursday’s (Feb. 19) opening leg of the General Brock Trotting Series for 4-year-olds at Woodbine Racetrack as he sent out three of the four divisional winners.

All three are owned by Ely Iversen of Moffat, Ontario.

HP Forte won the first division of the General Brock in 1:58.2.

The pair clicked first with HP Forte in the first division in 1:58.2 for driver Mark MacDonald. The son of Muscles Yankee-HP Espoir went gate-to-wire on a very cold and blustery night at odds of 19-1 and turned back Long Ago by two lengths with Boys O Boys third. The top trio combined for a triactor worth more than C$13,000.

Fisher and Iversen also connected in the second split with Minor Supernover and then completed the hat trick with Save My Ashes in the final division. Both trotters were driven by Chris Christoforou to identical win clockings of 1:58.3.

Thursday’s other C$20,000 division went to Mr Go and driver Mike Saftic in 1:59. The gelded son of Armbro Riccochet-Colts Gait Roz turned back Society Kad and Wildcat Shoes for his first win in five tries this season for trainer George Johnson, who co-owns along with Gregory Johnson of Milton, Ontario.

The second leg of the General Brock Trotting Series will go postward next Thursday night (Feb. 26) at Woodbine.
