Bath Beach was a 1:55.1 winner in the Miss Vera Bars Series Final.

The daughter of Life Sign-Lady With A Future, who was an off-the-pace winner in round two, was reunited with driver Paul MacDonell on Thursday and got away eighth in the field of 10 through a quick :26.3 first quarter.

Real Heart led past the opening station but then pocket-sitter Artists Dynasty made a move to the outside and took charge at the :55.2 opening half. Wish All You Want was following the top pair and made the first move to the outside with Mylittlerebel — who was looking for a series sweep — following her cover on the outside in fourth. In the meantime, Bath Beach was still back in eighth position and more than 12 lengths back of the leader.

Artists Dynasty kept the front end rolling as the field hit the third station in 1:24.3 with Wish All You Want beginning to stall in the first-over spot and Mylittlerebel gapping in the second-over position. Bath Beach remained well back in seventh and was forced to go four wide as the field turned for home.

The fast fractions began to catch up to the leaders and despite the deficit Bath Beach was easily able to haul down Artists Dynasty and draw clear by 2-1/4 lengths at the finish. Longshot Chief Karen followed that rally and picked up the place spot with Wish All You Want holding on for the show spot.

It was the third win in five outings this year for the Dean Nixon trainee who is owned by Iris and Harry Horowitz and Mary Friest.
