Freehold, NJ — Lu Lu Q held off the challenge of Red High Heels and Tutu Hanover to win the $85,000 New Jersey Sire Stakes Final for 2-year-old pacing fillies on Saturday, September 6, at Freehold Raceway.

Lu Lu Q ($4.00, $3.00, $2.10) paced the mile in 1:56.1, picking up her third win in four starts for the team of driver Andy Miller and trainer Erv Miller. The daughter of McArdle-Taylor Lou Q won by a neck over Red High Heels (by Cam’s Card Shark, $4.00, $3.80) and Tutu Hanover (by Western Ideal, $2.80).

After winning a pair of baby race qualifiers at the Meadowlands in July, Lu Lu Q captured her first two pari-mutuel starts, including an opening round of the NJSS. She then finished out of the money in her previous start, the second NJSS leg on August 22, and skipped round three.

The first foal of Taylor Lou Q is owned by and was bred by Steve Stewart, Alan Quinn and Frank Cannon. She has a career bankroll of $56,000.
