In the first split, favored Bizzness Trip ($4.20) went gate-to-wire for Aaron Merriman and trainer-owner Dean Beachy. The 2:00.3 mile was a lifetime best for the Dream Vacation 4-year-old, who defeated Tom and Samurai’s Revenge. Bizzness Trip had posted two second-place efforts in the first legs.

Image Master ($6.80), trained and leased by Dee Hotton, cruised nearly gate-to-wire in his 2:00.3 win over Hello Carlo and Victory’s Desire. Troy Boring steered the 5-year-old Master Lavec gelding, who is in his first year of racing.
