Ft. Washington, MD — Moody’s Magic ($13.80, $6.40, $12.40) won his first lifetime start with ease in a maiden pace at Rosecroft Raceway on Saturday night, November 10, topping the field by over four lengths in 1:59.

The 2-year-old Best Mood gelding, owned by William and Nancy Spicer, left the gate alertly from post six with trainer Brian Burton in the bike. Moody’s Magic took the field through quarters of :29.3, 1:00.2 and 1:29.4, remaining unchallenged through the mile.

Circle M Sweetie ($8.40, $4.40) finished second with a pocket trip under the guidance of driver Corey Braden. Trained by Deweese Butler, the 3-year-old Misfit filly tracked Moody’s Magic throughout the mile, but was no match for the gelding in the stretch. Deweese co-owns Circle M Sweetie with Stewart Butler.

Jack’s Pride ($8.00) finished third at 12-1 odds. Driven by Chris Offutt for trainer Lloyd Lambert, the 3-year-old Blissfull Hall gelding sat along the rail to close with a :29.3 last quarter. Thelma Furr and Linda Lambert co-own Jack’s Pride.

The trifecta paid $520.05.

Tuesday’s (November 13) live racing card begins at 5:35 p.m.
