Dover, DE — Sheisaknockout and B Bad chalked up wins in $10,000 Delaware Standardbred Breeders Fund (DSBF) prep pace features on Thursday (November 8) at Dover Downs.

In the first of two DSBF 2-year-old preps for the upcoming preliminaries, trainer-driver Bryan Truitt steered B Bad, who he co-owns with Jerry Smith, to a 1:55 victory in a $10,000 colt pace. Business Plan (Ben Stafford, Jr.), the early leader, finished second with West Coast Bad Boy (Wayne Long) third, in an all Badlands Hanover-sired triple.

In a $10,000 DSBF filly pace, Sheisaknockout, a daughter of Badlands Hanover bred, owned and trained by Brenda Teague, overpowered seven rivals in 1:56.3 to win her fourth in five starts. The win was the second for driver Jim Morand. Snatch The Fortune (Roger Plante) was a game second with Badlands Power (Art Stafford, Jr.) closing to finish third.

Vic Kirby picked up his second win of the night, steering 11-1 Pure Class, owned by Cantwell Bridge Stable, to a 1:54 victory over Sparker (Tony Morgan) in the first of two $25,000 claiming paces. Swingingwithashark (Tim Tetrick) was a neck back in third.

In the second $25,000 claimer, Tony Morgan drove Art Brewer’s Brookfieldpoketime to a nose victory in 1:53.2, edging Devil’s Ivy (Mike Cole) at the wire. Ira’s Sunny Boy (Tim Tetrick) had taken the lead at the head of the lane, but had to settle for third.

Ross Wolfenden and Jim Morand had driving doubles, while Tim Tetrick had a single winner, giving him 999 for the year.
