Mister Big charged home for a 1:48.1 triumph in the $169,000 Allerage Farms Open Pace.

David Miller was in the sulky for trainer Virgil Morgan, Jr. as the 4-year-old Grinfromeartoear stallion continued his impressive season, scoring for the 12th time in 25 trips to the gate. Mister Big has earned $1,253,224 in ’07 and is stamping himself as a strong contender for post season honors.

There was plenty of action on the front end in this event as Rock N Roll Star (Jody Jamieson) led the field to a swift opening panel of :26.1. Mypanmar (John Campbell) was next to take his turn on the engine and he hit the half-mile marker in :53. Ron Pierce moved Palone Ranger first-over heading into the final turn and he and Mypanmar traded blows as the three-quarter time was reached in 1:20.1.

Heading down the lane, Palone Ranger put Mypanmar away, but he had no answer for Mister Big, who easily swept by for his second straight Lexington score. Palone Ranger held second, while Holborn Hanover (George Brennan) took third.
