Deweycheatumnhowe to qualify at Vernon

Vernon, NY — The undefeated New Jersey Sires Stakes champ Deweycheatumnhowe will make his return to the racetrack on Thursday morning (September 13) at Vernon Downs. The 2-year-old son of Muscles Yankee will compete in the fourth qualifying event of the morning for trainer/driver and co-owner Ray Schnittker.
Deweycheatumnhowe is a perfect four-for-four in his freshmen campaign and has been resting up for the remainder of the stakes season since mid-July. His last victory came at The Meadowlands on July 18, with an off the pace victory in 1:57 where he trotted his final quarter in :27.4.
The young trotter has already banked over $149,000 for owners Ray Schnittker, Theodore Gewertz, Charles Iannazzo, and Deweycheatumnhowe Stable.
Schnittker will also send out Jake Of Diamonds and one of New York’s open pacers, Tuffofthetoughest.
