Dreamlands Latte sweeps NJSS title

FREEHOLD, NJ – Dreamlands Latte controlled the lead at every call and held on for a length and a quarter victory in the $85,000 New Jersey Sire Stakes Final for 2-year-old pacing fillies, the fifth race on Saturday [September 8] at Freehold Raceway.

Dreamlands Latte paced the mile in 1:56.2, completing a sweep of her New Jersey Sire Stakes races and extending her winning streak to four.

Valmctorian, a daughter of McArdle, edged out the Western Ideal filly JK Getupngo for second money.

Dreamlands Latte, owned and bred by Dreamland Farms of Cream Ridge, NJ, is by Artsplace out of the Jenna’s Beach Boy mare Dreamlands Hardie. Jack Baggitt Jr. was at the lines of the filly who is trained by Robert Baggitt Jr.

The 2-year-old bay filly now has five wins from six starts for earnings of more than $97,000. Her only loss was a second-place finish to Valmctorian in the Molly Pitcher on August 11 at Freehold.
