Monticello, NY — More than $333,000 is on the line at Monticello Raceway on Tuesday, September 4, for 3-year-old trotting fillies in the rich New York Sires Stakes program. Each split is worth $66,783 and they will go as races two, four, six, eight and nine on the track’s 13-race card that afternoon.

Conway Maid, owned by the Stake Your Claim Stable and P.C. Wellwood Enterprises, is the morning line favorite in the fourth split, race eight. A winner of eight races and over $128,000 thus far this season, Conway Maid will be driven from the rail position by John Stark, Jr.

Doug Hutchins’ big strapping filly, Cocktail Hour, a Zweig filly division winner in her last start in a 1:57 clocking, will be the one to catch in the final $66,783 division. She’ll start from post position four with Ivan Davies in the sulky.
