Won The West took the lone division for 3-year-old colt pacers with a front-end score in 1:54.1. The son of Western Hanover chalked up his 11th victory in 16 starts this season for owners Strollin Stable, William Robinson and James Koehler. Mickey Burke trains the gelding, who was a $35,000 yearling purchase at the Standardbred Horse Sale in Harrisburg, Pa. Won The West now sports a bankroll of over $118,000 in first year of racing as he was unraced as a 2-year-old.

Adela Hanover and Jim Morrill, Jr. endured a first-over grind to take a division for 2-year-old filly pacers in 1:56.4 for trainer Jimmy Takter. The daughter of Artsplace was an $80,000 yearling purchase at the Lexington Selected Sale in Kentucky for owners John Fielding and Robert Giles.

Schillaci sent the Bettor’s Delight filly first-over through a third quarter of :28.1, but kept digging in down the stretch to draw off and score in 1:56.4. Michael Bucaria and Skipper Mathews own the filly, who was a $12,000 yearling purchase at the New Jersey Classic Sale.

Howard “Pacing” Parker drove to the grand slam while Jim Morrill, Jr. posted a double on the afternoon’s 12-race card.
