Hamburg, NY– In the featured $9,000 Open Trot, reinsman Keith Kash, Jr. made it to the winner’s circle for the second time on a beautiful summer night with a fast track, steering Imagianthit to his ninth win of the season in 1:58.2, a new season’s best, and just two-fifths of a second off the track record held by Kash’s other fine trotter Kami’s Call (1:58) here at Buffalo Raceway on Friday night (June 22).

Imagianthit picked up his ninth win of the season in 1:58.2.

Owned by The Inquisitive Stable Llc. of Macedonia Ohio, the 9-year-old Giant Hit gelding got a perfect garden spot behind second place finisher Gamesmanship and reinsman Kevin Cummings who set the early fractions in the race, :28.4, :58.1 to the half-mile marker. Going down the backstretch the second time, third place finisher Prime Interest and driver Jack Flanigen were rolling up on the outside and hit the three-quarter beam in 1:28.1, with Imagianthit now right behind him. A :30 last quarter-mile and the passing lane, was all that was needed by Imagianthit to win by three-quarters of a length.

“He raced just super tonight,” said Kash, Jr. “I got a perfect cover trip the whole way.”

The $4,500 share of the winning purse put Imagianthit’s 2007 bankroll at $58,536 and $205,481 lifetime. Going off as the favorite in the betting, the winner paid $3.90 to win.
