DSBF splits contested on Sunday

Harrington, DE — Five $20,000 divisions of Delaware Standardbred Breeders Fund (DSBF) stakes events for 3-year-trotters went postward on Sunday (June 17) at Harrington Raceway.

Ms Virginia was the fastest DSBF winner as Tony Morgan piloted her to a 1:59.4 score.
There were three events for fillies and two for colts in the first of two legs for the sophomore trotters.
Fred Brunner and Layhoon Chan Brunner’s Swissonian ($2.20, Tim Tetrick) won for the ninth time in 13 career starts in 2:01.4 in the first colt division, while Nanticoke Racing’s Nanticoke Snazz ($3.40, Brandon Givens) won the second. Swissonian is trained by Josh Green, while Nanticoke Snazz is a Les Givens-trainee.
Lloyd Arnold’s Ms Virginia ($2.40, Tony Morgan) was the fastest filly and overall winner with a 1:59.4 triumph for trainer Manley Brown, Jr.
Mist Stable’s Twilight Mist ($2.60, Tetrick) was victorious in 2:02.1 for trainer Jim Thompson, while Les Givens-trained Nanticoke Racing, Brandon Givens and Ed Maas’ Devilish Miss ($4.20, Brandon Givens) won the remaining division in 2:00.2.
