Saratoga, NY — Annie McGuire N captured the Fillies and Mares Open for the second straight week at Saratoga Gaming and Raceway in 1:55.3 on Thursday, June 14.

The 7-year-old mare was sent to the top from post six by catch driver Dan Cappello, Jr. and remained unchallenged until the stretch, when Dandy’s Jewel once again tried to upset. Like last week, Dandy’s Jewel and Brian Allen came up short at the wire, finishing second by three-quarters of a length, while Bali Mystic N was third.

Trained by John Stark, Jr. and owned by the RAM Racing Stables, “Annie” has a record of 3-3-1 in 11 starts this year.

Racing resumes Friday night (June 15) at Saratoga. Post time is 7:00 p.m.
