Tetrick, Morgan each win five at Dover

DOVER, Del. – Boom Shockalaka lowered the boom to win the Saturday, Jan. 20 $13,800 feature 30,000 Claiming pace at Dover Downs.

2007 dash win leader Tim Tetrick and 2006 champion Tony Morgan each drove five winners.

Boom Shockalaka made it two-in-a-row as Kevin Sizer drove the Blissfull Hall gelding to a 1:55.3 victory in the $13,800 Delaware pace.

In the first of two $10,000 Male paces Cantwell Bridge Stable’s Lekrem Bluegrass, steered by Tim Tetrick, overtook Allamerican Campy (Ross Wolfenden) in deep stretch to post a 1:53.3 victory. Wyatt And Me (Jim King) came on for third.

Tim Tetrick won his fifth on the card driving Bill Emmons’ Mattazuma three-wide around the final turn and then took over to win the $30,000 Claiming pace in 1:53.3. Spicy Sport (Brad Hanners) edged front-pacing Mattnifesto (Toby Lynch) for place. Mattazuma was the second winner trained by Dylan Davis.

$16,000 DELAWARE PACE, TWO $14,000 PACES HEADLINE SUNDAY

A $16,000 Delaware pace and a pair of $14,000 paces are the headline events Sunday, Jan. 21 at Dover Downs. First post is 5:30 p.m. ET.

Rodney Mitchell’s Paisan Hall raced big for Eddie Davis Jr. last week finishing second beaten a neck in 1:52 and is the program choice in the Sunday feature. Bob Collins’ Solid Hanover, with Brad Hanners, involved in a deadheat for win last time, drew post 9 in the second tier. Another winner of his last start is Barbara Blevens’ Gamblers Glory with Jim Morand. The veteran drew the rail.

Among the contestants in the nine-horse field are Griffin Conley’s C’mon C’mon C’mon with Brandon Givens, Todd Wise and Jeff Franklin’s Flaming Moe, making his first 2007 start with Tim Tetrick driving, Who Said What A, with Tony Morgan driving for Bob Aerenson, Ross Weiner and Wendy Crissman. Other participants are Ask W Stables’ CR Hidden Dragon, reined by George Dennis, Suzanne Hunsberger’s Elm Grove Jake, with Ross Wolfenden driving from post 8 for the second straight week

In the first of two $14,000 Male paces, Amy Warrington’s Arden’s Trump N (Steve Warrington) seeks a second straight win. The Jeremys Gambit gelding has three wins, two second and a third since the meet began. Ted Hasis’ JF Dreamwork (Brad Hanners), John Wagenhoffer’s Beavercreek Harley (Tim Tetrick) and Marcia Murray’s Up Front Boy (Brandon Givens) head the opposition. Jim Kinnamon’s Canvas Master (Tony Morgan), Jean McInnis’ Seebers (Ross Wolfenden), George Hobbs’ The Other Check (Eddie Dennis) and Heza Character (Eddie Davis Jr.) are the other rivals.

The other $14,000 pace for males features Jim Snyder and Brent Outten’s Cross The Line (Tim Tetrick) and Quality Import (Tony Mnorgan) racing for the Wayne Pryor Estate and Wendy Crissman leaving from the rail and post 2 respectively. Alongside is Bob Collins’ Allamerican Padre (Brad Hanners).

Also contending are Village Blizzard (George Dennis), owned by Ellen Moffitt and Ron Millman, Elmer Fannin’s CR Shanghai (Jim Morand), Parker Callahan’s Indiana Magic (Walter Callahan), Charles Cochran’s Camarkable (Tim Curtin) and Rich Ringler’s Scooty’s Dreamer (Kevin Sizer).
