All Over The Place wins second straight

EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ – All Over The Place [$8.40, $5.80, $4.20] sprinted to the lead on the turn for home and scored a half-length victory in the $35,000 winners-over pace, the featured fifth race on Saturday night at the Meadowlands.

Roddy’s Bags Again [$8.80, $6.20] made a strong bid but could only muster a second, and it was a length and a half back to Art Maker [$5.00] in third.

The time of the mile was 1:50.3.

Ron Pierce guided All Over The Place for trainer Mark Ford and owner Martin Scharf of Lawrence, New York. The five-year-old Artsplace gelding pushed his career earnings over the $500,000 mark with his 16th victory in 60 career starts.

It was All Over The Place’s second straight trip to the winner’s circle. He now moves on to the opening round of the three-week Presidential Series, which gets underway next Saturday night at the Meadowlands.
