East Rutherford, NJ — Sweetheart winner Isabella Blue Chip ($7.00, $4.80, $3.20) held on for a nose victory over longshot Catch The Show ($22.80, $7.80) in Saturday night’s (Nov. 25) fifth race, the $20,000 prep for the $439,000 Three Diamonds for 2-year-old pacing fillies on December 2 at the Meadowlands. Little Miss Dragon ($3.20) made a late bid and finished third by 1-3/4 lengths.

All seven of the starters in the prep, along with Tidewater Dragon, advance to the final, one of the quartet of stakes for 2-year-olds that make up the $1.7 million Fall Final Four.

Isabella Blue Chip, driven by Jack Moiseyev, paced the mile in 1:53.3.

The daughter of Bettor’s Delight, trained by George Teague, Jr., races for Patrick and Marianne Callahan’s Only Money Inc. of Hartley, Delaware, and Teague Inc. of Houston, Delaware.

Isabella Blue Chip now has seven wins, three seconds and two thirds from 14 starts. She has banked $439,083.

“She left nice and strong,” said Brenda Teague, who works with her brother, George, and is the co-owner of Isabella Blue Chip. “It has been a long season for her. She will be getting some time off after next week. She will stay in Delaware during the winter.”
