The countdown has begun on entries for the $4.3 million Breeders Crown Events, to be raced Saturday, November 26 at The Meadowlands Racetrack, East Rutherford, NJ.

The $500,000 (guaranteed) Breeders Crown sophomore events carry a supplemental tag of $62,500.

Supplemental declarations for the four three-year-old events are due and payable on Monday, November 14, 2005 at 12:00 noon in the racing secretary’s office at the Meadowlands Racetrack. A one-time supplemental payment makes a horse eligible to subsequent years’ Breeders Crown events under the normal schedule of payments. There are no supplements for the two-year-old races.

The starting fee is included in the supplemental amounts, and all supplemental money, minus the starting fee, may be added to the purse of the individual events.

Horses eligible to the Breeders Crown events must enter by 9:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 15, also at the Meadowlands race office. Eliminations for three-year-old colt and filly trotters and three-year-old filly pacers, if needed, will be raced on Friday, November 18 and eliminations for three-year-old colt pacers and two-year-old pacers and trotters will take place Saturday, November 19.

The connections of elimination winners may pick their post position for the finals.

The Breeders Crown eliminations kick off the fall championship meet at the Meadowlands, which is loaded with first-class racing and exciting promotions.

Opening night features $1 Grandstand and Clubhouse admission as well as drawings for five popular Sharp Electronics products and a visit by the WPLJ radio team on the Paddock Level.

Racing fans will be able to participate in an online Breeders Crown Contest, covering the elims and the finals on November 26.

On November 26, a long-sleeve t-shirt giveaway will go to each paid admission and those who bring a food item for the Breeders Crown Food drive sponsored by Kings Supermarkets and the Community Food Bank of NJ, while supplies last, to commemorate the Breeders Crown Finals.
