Ideal News wins 2nd Blossom Leg

EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ – April 13, 2005 – Ideal News [$5.60, $3.20, $2.20] posted her second straight win, capturing the $22,500 Blossom, the third race on Wednesday night at the Meadowlands.

John Campbell guided Ideal News to a half-length tally over I’m All In in the second leg of the Blossom Series.

John Campbell guided the daughter of Western Ideal to a half-length tally over I’m All In [$6.80, $3.20] in the second leg of the three-week series for three-year-old pacing fillies. Righteous Renee [$2.20], the even-money favorite, faded to third, a length back. The time of the mile was 1:53.4.

Ideal News now has two wins and a second in three starts this year. Last year, at two, she was winless, with one second and two thirds in five starts. The Joe Holloway trainee races for Brittany Farms of Versailles, Kentucky and Val D’Or Farms of Hasbrouck Heights, New Jersey.

The $64,850 Blossom Final is next Wednesday night at the Meadowlands.
