Buffalo, NY — Airborne Baby, owned by the Kripple Creek Stable of Machias, New York, won Sunday’s featured race at Buffalo Raceway with Danny Yetman in the sulky.

This eight-year-old Green Beret mare is also trained by Yetman, and she hit the finish line teletimer in a quick 2:00.3 on this beautiful Sunday afternoon. She paid $8.10 to win. It was her first victory of the year and took her lifetime bankroll to $34,573. Finishing second was the big favorite, Game Nicole, with Stephen Schoeffel in the sulky. Longshot Summer Silence, with Cliff Keene aboard, came in third.

In Sunday’s tenth race, Delivery Dog, with John Cummings, Jr., delivered the goods for owner Michael J. Lewandowski of Orchard Park, New York.

This four-year-old bay horse by Sealed N Delivered cut all the fractions and went wire-to-wire in 2:02.3. A $7.00 mutual was waiting the lucky people who backed this guy to win. 23-1 shot Elite Star Wars, with Steve Green aboard, came in second and Chautauqua Joe, with Jamie Dunlap, completed the trifecta.
