– Champion trotter Maud S is born. She becomes the first trotter to break the 2:10 mark.March 28, 2003 – Tony Morgan wins nine races at Maywood Park near Chicago and finishes second in three others.
March 29, 1991 – Complex Trooper, driven by Jack Moiseyev, wins the New Faces Pace final in a stakes record 1:53 at The Meadowlands Racetrack in New Jersey.
March 30, 1977 – Niatross, Horse of the Year in 1979 and 1980, is born. He becomes the first Standardbred to break the 1:50 barrier.
March 31, 1996 – Warzover, driven by Ron Waples, wins the inaugural Sheraton Meadowlands Trot (now Father Foley Memorial) in 1:56.1 at The Meadowlands.
April 1, 1988 – Nadia Lobell, driven by John Campbell, wins the Overbid Series final in 1:55 at The Meadowlands.
April 2, 2000 – Million Dollar Bye, driven by Joe Anderson, wins the Staley Series final in 1:55.2 at Los Alamitos in California.
April 3, 1987 – Follow My Star, driven by Bill O’Donnell, wins the Overbid Series final in 1:56.1 at The Meadowlands.
