Art Director was a winner in the Sunday feature at Dover.

Brad Hanners drove Marchand into the lead at the quarter and the Western Hanover gelding led, though troubled, until late in the stretch and held on to finish second. Homeland Hero, the first week’s winner in this event, raced first over from the clubhouse turn, vying with Marchand on the backstretch and around the final turn. The Jim King-driven, Western Hero-sired Homeland Hero gamely held on to finish a close third in front of a fast finishing Mark’s Secret Love, driven by Jim Morand, fourth.

For the seventh consecutive time Allraessignofglory was a race favorite and came through with an impressive victory. Claimed three starts back, Jim Morand drove the Life Sign eight-year-old gelding to his second win for owner Bob Cacamese, a 1:55.1 score racing for a $12,500 tag. Rumble Time (Herve Filion), off at 12-1, raced second and stayed there. Repress (Wayne Truitt) was the third place finisher.

Another horse on a tear is Pedone, now owned by Fred and Anita Fialkow and after being claimed three weeks ago is trained by Kevin Lare. The fashionably bred four-year-old son of Western Hanover record his third win in four starts, including a placement second after finishing first in the other race. In a $17,500 three, four, and five-year-old pace, Jim Morand took Pedone into the lead at the quarter and led the rest of the way. Answer Me This (George Dennis) challenged the winner on the backstretch to no avail and was the runner-up. Anton Hanover (Ross Wolfenden) took third.

One Nation, owned by Constance and Paul McDougall and Paul McDougall, Jr., scored a 1:54.2 victory in a $17,500 claiming allowance with Ross Wolfenden in the bike. Harold Abbe N (Brad Hanners) was next. Top Flite Hanover (Kevin Sizer) finished third.

Herve Filion made his way to another winner’s circle appearance, guiding Diane Neal’s Brandi Bess Beach home from post eight in 1:57.1 to take the first of three $10,000 Delaware claiming allowances. Sand Justa Sam, owned by Nancy Saveikis, Nanticoke Racing and driver Brandon Givens, won the second in 1:56.1 and Fieldstone Rodney, owned by Ron Patton and Bob Messick, and driven by Eddie Davis, Jr., notched a 1:56.3 win in the third Delaware $10,000 tag event.
